The sleek, even coloured surfaces of Laura’s paintings, free of gestural brush strokes, are reflected in this new limited edition screen print which explores the idea of two-colour juxtaposition. Available in an unframed edition of 25, numbered, signed and dated, each print provides a joyful and cost-effective way to start collecting Laura’s work. This is the first in the series of screenprints, with plans for the second one to be published later in the year.

Description
Laura Jane Scott’s desire for formal simplicity through geometric form and striking use of colour has enabled her to produce a body of work where painting explores a model of architectural form and where the colour literally embodies a physical structure. The resulting work is a hybrid of painting and sculpture; a refined visual vocabulary of form and colour. To accompany the main body of her work, she is developing a new series of screen prints, exploring her fascination with colour, of which this is the first in the series with plans for a second later in the year.
