The sleek, even coloured surfaces of Laura’s paintings, free of gestural brush strokes, are reflected in this new limited edition screen print which explores the idea of two-colour juxtaposition. Available in an unframed edition of 25, numbered, signed and dated, each print provides a joyful and cost-effective way to start collecting Laura’s work. Laura Jane Scott’s desire for formal simplicity through geometric form and striking use of colour has enabled her to produce a body of work where painting explores a model of architectural form and where the colour literally embodies a physical structure. The resulting work is a hybrid of painting and sculpture; a refined visual vocabulary of form and colour. To accompany the main body of her work, she is developing a new series of screen prints, exploring her fascination with colour.
