Lee’s technique of creating a cedar frame around a sunken mirror creates illusions of ethereal pools and tilting ponds amongst plants such as Trollius Golden Queen, Heuchera Plum Puddings and Brunnera Jack Frost (in photos at Chelsea). The sculptures pull light into areas of shade and cast intriguing perspectives on the plant life and tree canopies.
These sculptural outdoor art works are hand made from Deodar (Himalayan) Cedar, sourced sustainably from the English countryside in Kent, and laid with polished mirror steel.
