Using the shadow cast by the metal mesh to define line and tone of the body, this astounding 3D sculpture is invisibly sewn onto a white painted canvas, stretched over a wooden frame. The delicate nature of this work requires careful packing for transportation but the canvas stretcher is easy to hang and the metal mesh is strong and will not lose its shape. This is the first Tangle drawing that Lyndsey made, using coloured crayons on a melamine surface. The melamine has been mounted on board and has a rear framework which allows the drawing to be mounted flat onto the wall. The underside of the artwork has been painted light blue to create a soft reflection, and the drawing appears to float on the wall.
